Science Forum will take place from 20 to 24 January 2027 at the University of Helsinki Main Building and Think Corner. The theme of the event is A Leap into the Unknown.
Science Forum begins on Wednesday, 20 January, with an opening ceremony. From Thursday to Sunday (21–24 January), the programme includes lectures, discussions, workshops, special seminars, exhibitions, new book presentations and planetarium shows. Most of the programme is in Finnish, but there is also content in Swedish and English.
The programme also features specially curated events for upper secondary students and the research community. On Thursday evening, 21 January, Science Forum's sister event, the Night of Science, will complement the programme as science spreads across Helsinki.
All events are free of charge.
Online Programme
Some Science Forum events will be filmed and streamed online. The livestreams will be available to watch on Think Corner's streaming platform until the end of January 2027. Recordings of selected online events will then be made available during early spring 2027.
