Science Forum 2027 Programme Published

Finland’s largest science event, the Science Forum, invites everyone to take a leap into the unknown on 20–24 January 2027. The programme for the five-day event has now been published. Explore the programme on the programme page. Use the programme filter to find the events held in English.

The Science Forum will take place at the University of Helsinki’s Main Building and Helsinki University’s Think Corner. The 2027 theme, A Leap into the Unknown, encourages us to explore the world with curiosity and question familiar assumptions. The programme covers a wide range of topics, from space and marine research to artificial intelligence, health, politics and culture. Alongside lectures and panel discussions, the event offers workshops and dialogues where participants can explore topical questions together.

Visitors can also discover the latest science books at the Science Book Fair and enjoy free admission to the exhibition centre of the Helsinki University Museum Flame. All of the events are free of charge.

Night of Science Takes Place on Thursday

The programme for the Science Forum’s sister event, the Night of Science, has also been published. Taking place on Thursday 21 January 2027, the Night of Science will bring science to venues across Helsinki and online. The programme features more than 30 events, all free of charge.
